Hide and Seek (come laugh with me!)

So imagine your me. You haven't been out of the house since Christmas cause you or the kids have been sick or the weather has actually been deadly (to small people with no personal warmth control like Princess). You haven't been working out since before Christmas because of the illnesses and this is the one thing that keeps you sane. Rememeber your me so you actually HAVE to exercise to keep your sanity, real sanity not just patients, sanity, GOT IT?!?Ok so here you are starting week four and your CRAZY, you have NO patients and the kids are getting cranky too.So the stage is set. Now you find yourself wondering through the house hoping to find one more thing to possibly distract you or the kids or possibly both. Princess is following your wondering path whinning. With evey attempt to satisfy her obviuos discomfort the whinning growns to a shreek. You choose to just let her whimper as this doesn't threaten to break your ear drums and every piece of glass within a fifty mile radius. Eventually this whinning starts to really wear on you. By eventually we're talking like five minutes, remember your crazy and you have no patients.

Pictures of the fits :)Sometimes I take pictures so I don't do something worse.
Still not Happy!

Now comes the critical choice. You as the responsible adult choose to HIDE from your two year old so you don't schreech back, or worse. First you go down stairs (she is kind of slow going down stairs so this gives you a head start). Of course having a sixth sense about where her mother goes she, like you, heads straight to the kitchen. But there is an island in the kitchen that if you hide behind and keep moving she won't actually see you. Eventually she picks up on the game and goes the other direction. That is right! At this point you have been out smarted by a two year old. But your still faster, so you race to the living room and dive under the coffe table.

Here we have another critical juncture. This is the point where you realize you are actually HIDING from your child UNDER THE COFFEE TABLE AND YOUR NOT PLAYING!!!!!!! You now have a choice. But as your giggling two year old finds you under the coffee table you realize that a game is EXACTLY what both of you need. So you decided to make a BAD mommy moment into a GOOD mommy moment. For the next half hour you thrill your child with the most exciting game of hide and seek she has ever played, in the closet, down in the basement, in the pantry, in the bathroom, under the kitchen table, in a cupboard, behind the rocking chair, it was a blast. My favorite is that everytime I say "where did Princess hide?" she comes running out from behind the rocking chair squealing with delight :). You can now be happy enough to cook dinner, have a great evening, and survive a few more weeks of Shut in. Sorry there are no pics of the game, we had so much fun I forgot the camera, why does that seem to happen in TRUE Kodak moments?
When did we plan that Hawaii trip? Come on Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was very funny Tiffany, I can picture all of this. It's amazing that Princess can still look cute while throwing a fit, it must be a gift.

I have several pictures and videos of my kids fits. Sometimes there is not much else that you can do.
I am glad you ended up having some fun with. It must be hard to be cooped up for so long. You are awesome! Spring will come.
